Our Summer Club Programs are designed for both Boys and Girls with intermediate/advanced skill levels from ages 10 - high school age. Each club session is 5 weeks long which include: one or two practices a week and a shirt or tank!    Tournaments are NOT included with club session fee. They are all separate and optional, but for a small fee, you can play in our internal tournaments that we'll host throughout the summer.  In these tournaments, players can choose their own partner and play in as many as they would like.  We highly encourage players to go out of their comfort zone and participate in at least one external tournament!  You'll get to play with kids from all over Florida- great experience!

Why choose beach volleyball this summer?  Beach volleyball has excellent carry over into the indoor game.  Playing doubles in the sand increases a players physical conditioning and vertical, teaches players to read the play, forces communication on the court, and requires a player to develop all of the fundamental volleyball skills.  These skills all carry over to the indoor game, making sand doubles one of the best training methods for the indoor player.

If you have not played with us before and are unsure which group your athlete should be in, please sign up to attend our placement tryout on Monday, April 21st at 6pm.  If you can't make that, please reach out to sandbarrbeach@gmail.com and give us a brief description of your athletes volleyball experience.

What happens when it's bad weather conditions?

In the event of bad weather, we try to give as much notice as possible, but we typically communicate 1 hour prior to the practice via our Facebook Page and by email.

How will we know if practice is cancelled?

We DO NOT like to cancel practice, however it happens, and in the event that a practice is cancelled, we will communicate via Facebook Page and Email,  the cancellation 1 hours prior practice. We will then reschedule that missed practice for a future date.

How do I know what group my athlete is in?

NEW ATHLETES: At Sandbarr, our coaches evaluate our athletes and group them with other athletes of similar capabilities. Our groups and their definitions can be located  under the "Programs" tab of this website. Please reach out to us at Sandbarrbeach@gmail.com with your athlete's age and volleyball experience. We will then ask you to join a session where we can appropriately evaluate your athletes skill.

PREVIOUS ATHLETES: Your athlete has already been evaluated and will receive an email with which group they will be training with at Sandbarr.

I have a vacation planned, is it ok if I miss a week?

Of course!  We know that summers are meant to be fun and vacations have been planned, so that's absolutely fine!  We can't accomodate a price reduction for missing that week though!  It's possible that you can add an extra practice the following week if we aren't completely booked!

How does my child get moved up levels?

Our program is designed to place athletes in groups by level of play regardless of age.  When we consider placing an athlete in a certain group or moving a player to a higher level group, that player must also have enough skills to begin to contributing at that level.  This is to be fair to the player and to the group so that it remains the integrity of the level of play for that group.  Every single practice we are looking at potential players to move up!  In fact, last session we did just that and moved a couple of players mid-session!  If your athlete ever wants to know what they need to work on to move up, please have them come talk to one of the coaches!  We truly love having these conversations with our athletes!  We promise were super sweet about it and we love that they are advocating for themselves and wanting to better themselves in beach volleyball.  Now, if you have an athlete that would feel more comfortable with a parent by their side, that's totally fine, too.  Shoot us an email and we'll schedule a meeting before or after practice with the athlete and parent.

Here are the three levels within White Sands in ascending order.

White Sands- (Coral) Athlete has some playing experience- lots of technical development required

White Sands (Pacifica) Athlete has playing experience- some technical development required

White Sands (Nautica) Athlete has advanced level of play- strategy improvement required

Blue Sands- This group consists primarily of high school age players and is, over all, our most advanced group. Based on advanced skill level there will be some middle school players in this group.

We will consider the placement of an athlete based on their own ability (skills, desire to compete) and coachability (receptive to feedback and able to make improvement type changes).  We will not consider placing an athlete in a group based on friends being there, for social reasons or because a particular time a group practices works better for a parents schedule.
